The Challenge

Today we were told how we are going to be working together this summer as a group of artists that is comprised of singers, actors, painters, photographers, film students, fashion designers, and other creators.

THE CHALLENGE for us as students is to come up with a pitch and collaborate ideas so that we can work towards a show that is built by two major working groups, that is happening in two different locations, with a "live" or real-time element of the work.

We will be focusing on hope in our work this summer in direct reference or dialogue with the book Surprised by Hope written by N. T. Wright. We will be trying to engage the audience in ideas and thinking of resurrection and new creation that is to be hoped for through Jesus Christ and his resurrection. This does not mean that we will be showing paintings of portraits of Jesus or other biblical scenes, but the message of hope will be unpacked so that someone who would never want to set foot in a church can access it.
